423 Series Rectangular manways are typically side-mounted on mash tuns to facilitate the removal of grain. Rectangular manways do seal and prevent liquid spillage, however, they are not designed to retain large columns of water such as those found in brite beer tanks. For large volumes of liquid, we strongly recommend a pressure manway such as the shadowless manway, which is ideally designed for a brite tank.
